The Journey
This ride is a tribute to the fallen. We pedal through the silent pine forests of the Gallipoli Peninsula, where one of the most defining battles of the 20th century took place.
Unlike a standard bus tour, cycling allows us to hear the wind, smell the pine trees, and truly connect with the spirit of this land.
Our journey begins with a ferry ride across the Dardanelles, leaving the bustling city behind for the silence of the peninsula. This is not just a physical challenge; it is a ride of respect and remembrance.
We start our ride at sea level along the ANZAC Cove, tracing the shoreline where the campaign began. From there, we pedal upwards, following the ridges through Lone Pine and The Nek, pushing our limits to reach the summit at Chunuk Bair.
-
Beach Cemetery: Cycling past the iconic beach cemetery and the vital supply line of 1915.
-
ANZAC Cove: Witnessing the historic beach where the dawn landing took place.
-
Lone Pine: Visiting the main Australian memorial and the site of fierce trench warfare.
-
The Nek & Chunuk Bair: Reaching the strategic summit of the peninsula via the tragic grounds of The Nek.
